Josh Marshall on Sanders' divisive tweet about the "Democratic establishment" last night

Reaffirms that when Sanders talks about “the Democratic establishment”, something that barely exists, he really means Democrats. Also anticipates my great fear which is that a Sanders General election campaign will be 1/2 against Trump and 1/2 against the Democratic Party.

You've almost certainly seen that Sanders tweet by now, since it's the subject of several OPs here. But just in case...

I've got news for the Republican establishment. I've got news for the Democratic establishment. They can't stop us.
If I were to vote in a presidential

Joe Biden

Of course, he has been doing that dissing for years too, especially since 2016.

It's not like this is news. It amazes me that so many people don't seem to give a fuck. Maybe they don't personally know any local Democratic committee people or poll workers or canvassers, and never got involved before, and think everything that happens is just magic.

In my state, we try to get D's as poll workers at every precinct in every election. Because without D's inside, anything can happen. (Got news for people who think election fraud started with black box voting.)

Who does that work? I guess if we overturn the "establishment" and tell all these older volunteers to go away, stuff will just happen by magic? Oh yeah, stuff will happen all right ..
