Candidates and members of Congress are told all sorts of things that the public never finds out about barring investigative reporting. An FBI briefing of this nature would be classified.

minimum of Warren, Klobuchar and Gabbard would have been secretly briefed as members of Congress, AND because they are challenging Sanders for the nomination. Now that it is public, neither has acknowledged having been briefed.

Since speculation seems to be the name of the game, what I believe is Bernie purposely keep the information secret, knowing that disclosing it would seriously damage him in Iowa and New Hampshire.

Sanders told reporters Friday after The Post’s report was published that he received the briefing “about a month ago.” Asked why he did not disclose the briefing publicly, Sanders replied, “Because I go to many intelligence briefings which I don’t reveal to the public.”

Like he told the press when asked why he didn't make an announcement at the time, he gets lots of intelligence briefings and doesn't make any of them public. The same goes for every member of Congress. They aren't at liberty to do so.
