(10,721 posts)Candidates and members of Congress are told all sorts of things that the public never finds out about barring investigative reporting. An FBI briefing of this nature would be classified.

Anyone accepting help from the Russians or outside nations is a freakin traitor ... that's off the top of my head.

(10,721 posts)Just as he did today. And, as he said, he receives many intelligence briefings that he doesn't share with the public. As do all members of Congress.

He denied and denied it and then blamed Hillary.

(31,261 posts)top secret is true. Also, if it was too secret, why would they tell a blabber-mouth like Trump?

(31,261 posts)minimum of Warren, Klobuchar and Gabbard would have been secretly briefed as members of Congress, AND because they are challenging Sanders for the nomination. Now that it is public, neither has acknowledged having been briefed.
Since speculation seems to be the name of the game, what I believe is Bernie purposely keep the information secret, knowing that disclosing it would seriously damage him in Iowa and New Hampshire.

We have no clue what other campaigns were told, or if there would have been any point to telling them.
But, hey, make political hay when you can, right?

(10,721 posts)Like he told the press when asked why he didn't make an announcement at the time, he gets lots of intelligence briefings and doesn't make any of them public. The same goes for every member of Congress. They aren't at liberty to do so.

He's forever disqualified.
The person that I eventually select to vote for will be someone who has the temperament and the demeanor and the HONOR AND ETHICS to be the leader of the free world.
