Bloombergs - Racial Profiling, Multiple Racist statements about crime & Minorities, CP5 ..

... intimating Redlining as a reason for the financial crisis, spying on Muslims and pretty much no recent indicator of mindset change other than a lie saying "... no one told me about stop and frisk ..."

Will Bloomberg's recent issues with non-whites suppress minority turnout?

The aforementioned was the last ten years, not 20 - 30 years ago and just last year Bloomberg was defending racial profiling in Stop and frisk and it's one of the reasons why Bloomberg does the worst with blacks according to recent Yahoo/YouGov polling - https://d25d2506sfb94s.cloudfront.net/cumulus_uploads/document/we97h9ywxh/20200213_yahoo_primary_crosstabs.pdf

How is Bloomberg different from Corbin in that in the UK in that Corbin happened to a turnoff to a huge segment of Labor voters and the didn't show up to vote?

I think these are fair questions

What say you?

thx in advance for any input

here in California. It's reaching out to the POC communities 24/7. He is aligning himself with small Black businesses owners and President Obama.

POC and Whites know what is at stake. Money has a whole lot of power, and Bloomberg's got a lot of it. Unfortunately, we live in a time where money can buy elections.

Evil is in the WH and government, we must defeat it, and VP Biden and Mayor Pete is still in the running.

I honestly feel whiplashed. Biden does poorly in two small states, and suddenly it all turned on a dime. I guess we’re defending and minimizing racism now.

I’m sorry this is happening to your community. This shouldn’t be who we are. I’m withholding my California ballot until after SC. I meant to go Buttigieg, but now I want to know where to put my vote to help stop this man on Super Tuesday.

It’s amazing how these self proclaimed Democrats ditched Biden after two primaries and even before his core gets to vote. What a bunch of weak livers. And they ditched Joe font for Klobuchar/Warren or another moderate Democrat but instead for a Republican billionairre. Now the past is coming back to haunt them and they got egg on their face.

Once Joe is resurgent after SC they’ll likely be back.

I actually find myself checking the URL in the address bar occasionally while reading some of the comments here excusing this man's extensive (and recent) history of racism just to make sure I'm still at DU.

Like you, I'm positively gobsmacked by this rapid about-face and what people are now willing to tolerate and excuse within our party.

when the murder rate was skyrocketing and no one could stop it.

He also reduced the incarceration rate in the city by 40%. This was at a time when nationwide unjust incarcerations of young black men were skyrocketing due to the crime bill that Biden and BS passed.

Stop and frisk WAS immoral and ineffective. But would you rather be stopped and frisked, or unjustly incarcerated.

None of these candidates are clean on race. Bloomberg did some very very bad things and some very, very, very good things. What good things did the other candidates do to IMPROVE the lives of POC during their tenures?

And can you think of anything the other candidates have done that have improved the lives of their constituents like reducing the murder rate of young black men by 50% and reducing the incarceration rate by 40%?

I get that people think he's worse than the others. If you only listen to what he says, that is certainly true. But if you look at what he has done, the picture is a lot less clear, especially when compared to the records on race of other candidates.

... racial profiling just stop and frisk saying they "overused" it as if using it at all helped anyone.

Again, Bloomberg is light years worse on race than any other candidate ... there's no doubt about that and that's just what we know.

"But if you look at what he has done," - I have !! He supported his racism last year and recently just said "no one told me about stop and frisk" which is a lie.

That doesn't represent a changed mind on the issue of racism to me.
