Do you believe that Americans should get over themselves. get behind Trump and make it work?

Source: Salon

Michael Bloomberg, the former mayor of New York City and owner of several media outlets, thinks it’s time that Americans “get behind” President Donald Trump and “make it work.”

Democratic opponents of Trump need to get over themselves, Bloomberg argued during an interview on ABC’s “The View.” “The public has spoken, whether you like the results or not,” he said.

for saying immediately after Obama's inauguration that his #1 goal was to make him a 1-term president and that didn't work out too well for the republicans in 2012 or the country as a whole during those years. He said in the article that the main thing was good governance and in early 2017 nobody saw the magnitude of the clusterfuck that was to come.

I've got a lot of problems with Bloomberg, but this seems a little unfair.

Yet another rationalisation for Bloomberg that if a certain other candidate had said it, would bring relentless accusations that his secret goal of his candidacy is to help trump get re-elected

All I’ve seen the last week is rationalisation after rationalisation for Bloomberg from the same people that have previously and even still continue to this very moment to criticise absolutely anything they can about said candidate even if pales in comparison to the stuff that Bloomberg has said and done.

And how dare you assume to know what I think about Bloomberg or any other candidate. And you certainly are vocal for being here for only one day.

I’ve been here years as a reader and supportive of Bernie/Warren and even most things on this site, but the last week of reading certain posters rationalising away absolutely anything and everything that comes out about Bloomberg’s history of racism or misogynist behaviour finally forced me to make an account to point this.

I’ve read in silence the back and forth between supporters of candidates, and stayed silent even when I read attacks on progressives, but the straw that broke the camels back was watching people, who in one breath attack someone like Bernie then rationalise away much more egregious behaviour from Bloomberg that they have previously and still would in a heart beat attack Bernie over.

And I am still undecided because I am a progressive and either Bernie or Warren would get my vote, depending on which one stays in the race.
