Regardless of the subject matter, Thomas Friedman can generally just fuck right off. But especially on this recent column. Still thinks we need to aim for "suburban moms", moderate Republicans, and swing voters.
There's nothing "different" about Friedman's perspective. It's the same old crap that got us here.
Demographics are changing rapidly. Even from a pure strategy perspective, these tired old ideas have got to go. And from a "what's right" perspective, Democrats have to take on racism and no fucking way is Bloomberg the guy to do it.

and allow us to do the same.
I think this is the 10th "Charles Blow" tweet/article posted in 2 days?
I never heard of him.

Not sure why you think he should keep his mouth shut any more than any other writer out there, aside from the fact that you seem to disagree with his conclusions...

That's okay. They can vote for the candidate of their choice and I can vote for the candidate of my choice, happily and still unbiased by others' biased reporting (the same thing has been going on about 'red lining' too).

(8,361 posts)Bloomberg administration resisted intense political pressure to settle the lawsuit of the Central Park 5.
Even today he just can't explain his consistently horrible positions.
Democratic presidential candidate Michael Bloomberg was asked on Monday about his mayoral administration's support for the way New York City handled the notorious Central Park Five case, and Bloomberg did not say whether he still stood by it. Years after defending the city and its police department, Bloomberg said the exonerations of the five wrongly convicted men are "the final word" in the case and "we just have to accept that."

(45 posts)I agree with him 100%, but who does he think should lead this country?
Bloomberg is gaining traction. At this point, there needs to be just as much effort into advocating for an alternative as there is for calling out Stop and Frisk.

(45 posts)I'd be curious to hear his take on Buttigieg and Kloubuchar, both of whom people have also taken some heat from the black community over the last year. Amy was just grilled on The View this week over her past record as a prosecutor that many felt was police biased at the expense of minorities.
