Primaries are about forgiveness and compromise

Compromise in the sense of forgiving things that don't meet standards reflected in our personal values.
Let's get it all out now. Republican conspiracy paranoia is foolish. Airing dirty laundry that has potential to become a scandal during the general election is actually helpful.

Taking inventory via philosophical assessments is a way of sorting it out. I understand reacting negatively to criticism, but assuming ulterior motive and attacking the messengers is not going to help us.

As an example, I am grateful that John Edwards was nowhere on the ticket in 2009. We were in for a nightmare if he had been exposed during the GE campaign or worse during his presidency.

I remember that Obama got it all out. He talked about his experimentation with drugs in his book. They couldn't find a single thing on him that would stick. All they could do was create the birtherism lie.
I think most of them follow a general rule of don't do anything that can be turned into a scandal and if you do, get it out of the way ASAP.
