to the candidates and the people who have been supporting them. Candidates drop out when they've run out of money or in the odd case (Gary Hart) where something unexpected turns up. Two elections have been held in two small, unrepresentative states. It would be nice to let a few more voters express their opinions rather than dancing on the graves of campaigns that are still quite alive.

If I were to vote in a presidential
primary today, I would vote for:

there have been exactly one caucus and one primary.. both in small rural states.. and while hats off to those who won.. it means nothing.. absolutely nothing.. its absurd. If Biden had won either of those states and people were starting that call I would be saying the same thing.

8. maybe because we are nervous of Bernie getting the nomination & losing to Trump

Because more voters are voting for moderates like Pete, Amy, Biden but they are splitting the vote and Bernie then gets to walk away with the win. Warren isn't strong enough of a candidate to pull votes from Bernie and she is actually pulling votes from Bide, Amy & Pete also.

Then add Bloomberg into the race and another candidate will split the votes and Bernie will march right on through to the nomination.

When candidates hang on with no path to the nomination it does no one any good. Honestly I find it kind of selfish. Kamala Harris deserves a lot of credit for dropping out when she did. She even made it to the debate stage and still decided to drop out.

It is sad seeing your person of choice dropping out but it is part of politics. We need to get the field shrunk down. I love Pete but if he falls hard in SC & Nevada I will be the first to say he should drop out.

We are just getting to the place that POC will be in appreciably higher numbers and we are supposed to pull the plug on the candidates before they have had a chance to vote. I do not understand this push at all going on this morning..

president. Lurching from one hope to the other based on “the buzz,” embracing a terribly flawed “savior” who has money but not broad appeal, counting votes before they have been cast, based on a tiny sliver of them, and attributing electability to the flavor of the week will not help us choose a viable candidate who will also be a good leader.

If we can unify around a candidate with the most wide appeal across the political spectrum, diverse populations, and in the states we need, he or she has a chance to beat Trump. Who that is we can not tell at this point. Way to early to bury or crown a candidate.

We don’t have to end up with the lesser of two evils. Consider that our candidate might occupy the most powerful position in the world, command a super power among super powers, lead the free world, and be tasked with undoing the vast damage Trump will leave in his wake.

Yes, I believe Biden could be electable AND the best qualified for the presidency, but his electability has yet to be tested, and my notion of best qualified is not yours. I just suggest we do not ignore the incredible array of duties and responsibilities our candidate might have in the near future, and the power he or she will wield in the world.

We still have time to choose the best candidate if we do not let ourselves be overly influenced by MSM’s ever-changing horse-race, panic, and underestimating what that candidate is really running for— not to be a policy advocate, resident visionary, or youth leader, not to fulfill a need for an historic win, not to lead a movement—but to lead our country in our world at its most perilous time. All that other jazz is frosting on the cake.

Who can beat Trump? The candidate we get the vote out for. The candidate who can form coalitions and work across divisions. Absolutely essential is that our candidate have AA support and be a man or woman who should have earned it.

But a question just as crucial is who can best lead a powerful country in an unstable world at a dangerous time? Frankly not Pete Buttigieg, and not Bloomberg, or Steyer. The first two badly messed up leading for all, in a small region relative to the whole US, and the third has absolutely no experience or qualifications for this huge office.
