(24,122 posts)But that's okay, the Baseless Bernie Bashing Backlash, as I call it, is REAL and it's why Bernie has surged to become the frontrunner for the Democratic nomination!! It's what will propel President Sanders to the White House!!
Bernie/Elizabeth or Elizabeth/Bernie 2020!!
Either way, they're stronger together & can't be bought!!
Jump on the Bernie Bandwagon & join The Revolution!!

(11,605 posts)Just like McCain did at one point in 2008 when his supporters got too nasty when he mentioned Obama's name.
But some people seem to expect Bernie to call out his supporters when another candidate is speaking - don't see how that works.

(52,166 posts)you set the tone at your headquarters. If that had happened at any other candidate's headquarters the person at the mic or the person nearest the mic would have said loudly to stop and the crowd would have done so. Do you imagine for a minute that Warren's people would have permitted that behavior? or Amy's?

(52,166 posts)none. Obama's supporters didn't do this (and on the one occasion that they did he rebuked them). Pete's supporters don't do this. Amy's don't. Warren's don't. Yang's don't. Only Sanders.

(40,218 posts)Buttigieg was very graceful in his remarks. Sanders starting his speech while Pete was still talking was selfish.

(13,431 posts)I am not condoning the behavior of his supporters. I am merely saying I understand it. The voters whom Sanders has energized are the future of the party and the centrists/moderates in the party (and here on DU) are relentless in trashing Sanders and his policies, which is effectively demeaning his supporters. Self-interest can be blinding to some but Bernie's policies would be good for America as a whole, especially for young Americans.

(3,855 posts)Buttigieg isn't running for top gay guy.
He is running for President.
Health care and the flaws in Buttigieg's plan have nothing to do with his sexuality that I can see.
I have seen and experienced homophobia. What happened to Buttigieg ain't it.

(11,484 posts)Supporter that posts some negative stuff about other candidates and spreads some rumors.
I comment on every post that we need to be unified and give facts about rumors.
I noticed she is being more careful about what she posts.
In case Bernie doesnt win we need to keep all his voters, everytime I post I say something nice encouraging both our candidates.
I use to work with her and when its not campaign time all posts are great. We have to find a way past this to get along.

(1,773 posts)You know, kinda like calling a visibly horrified and humiliated woman a "lying dog-faced pony soldier" to her face. If that can pass for a stroke of Richard-Pryor-esque comedic genius around here, why not this?

(17,390 posts)Of billionaires, so they hate him. Likewise, Bernie's campaign has painted Elizabeth Warren as being a liar and closet Republican, which is why Bernie's supporters were chanting "F*&k Warren."
That is how Bernie rolls. He elevates himself by burning down the Democratic party and all his rivals around him.

Herd him thank he other candidates and say we should support whoever wins.
If there was booing, I didn't hear it. Maybe it was drowned out by the cheering?
Or this guy is just lying.

I mean, I'm totally on record as being a 100% ANYONE but Bernie 2020 person, but even more than that I value critical thinking. Just because my bias wants to believe it doesn't mean I'll blindly accept it without at least some evidence or corroboration.
