Klobuchar on The View got harshly interrogated by sonny hostin

Sonny is also a prosecutor and she is black. She brought up a specific case and she reviewed it and was appalled at the evidence and facts. Amy gave an answer and said the case would be reviewed. Very interesting.

She’s largely flown under the radar. Candidates will start attacking her now. She better be prepared to answer about the reports of staff abuse. It WILL come up more now and it should in fairness.

The defendant was tried and convicted twice. Amy was not involved in the second prosecution.

On appeal, the defendant claimed he had witnesses to support him, but they recanted or failed to show. Amy has called for a further review, and that’s the appropriate step.

The case info is here.

On July 17, 2013, the postconviction court denied Burrell’s postconviction petition. The court determined that Burrell had “provided virtually no additional evidence,” and that the substance of any new evidence was “highly speculative” and “likely cumulative.” The court concluded that it had provided Burrell with opportunities to present evidence from the witnesses, time for counsel to explore possible remedies to secure the witnesses’ testimony, and multiple continuances. The court also held that it had no authority to issue a bench warrant for Brown’s failure to appear at the March 26 or March 27, 2013, hearings because Brown had not been properly served with a subpoena for those dates.

Sanders surrogates are circulating this. the guy was given a retrial. He was found guilty a second time, and AMY WAS NO LONGER THE PROSECUTOR. She was in the Senate then.

Against Klobuchar - a rehash of an old story of a young African American man who was convicted when Klobuchar was Prosecutor.

The same African American gentleman who was found guilty when she was prosecutor was retried and found guilty again. But she was not the prosecutor then. She was in the Senate in DC. So maybe he was guilty or maybe he had some great flaw in his representation, but Amy was not responsible for a second conviction. Yes the accusation does not say that she was a Senator by then. Why would the local BLM and NAACP call for her to quit the race when they didn't do the same for Kamela Harris? Harris had a greater history of 'prosecutorial abuse' claims? This was what Richard Painter was promoting a few days ago. Talk about a total double standard (BLM & NAACP)! And finally, why was Richard Painter promoting the calls? Well Klobuchar won three times statewide in Minnesota and Painter ran one very failed senate campaign. In Minnesota.

But living four blocks from where that happened I can tell you, that she has a very good story to tell about it. If people will listen.
