(6,699 posts)So many in the field; I have to admit I'm not connected to anyone of them. Yang has some brilliant ideas, and maybe we can take those ideas forward, thanks to him.
He always demonstrated class and intelligence when being interviewed. I sometimes would think that 17 potential candidates weaken the party and the chance to beat the asshole in the White House, but to the contrary. Their sharing of ideas and strength of character makes us stronger.
Instead of "free college", we need to change that to "federal funding for higher education at the levels we experienced..." before reagan came along and tore everything apart. Government paid 80% of higher education, whereas today it's only 20%. This is one of the main reasons college tuition is so damned expensive. I remember paying $68 a term in community college back in the mid 60's, and the four year colleges were only double that. Today?....it's astronomical what tuition expenses are. Unbelievable.
