Related: About this forumIt is time for everyone below Biden tonight to drop out
We already know Yang and (probably) Bennett are gone, but there is no point for the rest of them to hang on.

(6,377 posts)Im not saying I expect him to blow it out of the water, but he would be doing a disservice to himself and his supporters if he dropped out before even running in the states that are supposed to favor him.

(31,261 posts)and not wait for South Carolina. People let their ego get in the way of logic. Maybe Obama advised Biden that maybe he should think about running because Obama saw things shifting toward younger candidates. Even Bernie is pulling way below his 2016 numbers.

(6,377 posts)Hes not gonna hit 60 percent in NH again with 8 or 9 opponents as opposed to just 1. Thats basic math.

(62,444 posts)Is to dismiss people and places as not being real.
Republicans are good at that sort of thing - small towns are real America and big cities are not.
Regardless of whether Biden did well in the Iowa primary, I do believe that Iowa will once again be voting in the general election later this year. Maybe its not a good idea to allow disappointment to manifest as a form of bitter hostility, such as dismissing them as not real in some sense.

is a discriminatory system against those who have mobility issues, or cannot spend hours in a caucus hall
I suspect you are being sarcastic, but I think the caucus process should be eliminated to a primary process
One person, one vote, secret ballot, with the option to vote by mail

(62,444 posts)It is a shame that some candidates wasted important time and money campaigning there, instead of simply not participating in the first place.
It shows poor judgment to waste energy like that.

(53,826 posts)Thousands of delegates are needed. Let's stop this silly, jumping-the-gun. Iowa and NH don't define today's Democratic Party.
48 other states, and African-Americans/POC still get to help decide.
primary today, I would vote for: Joe Biden

(112,361 posts)Biden should stay in through at least Super Tuesday. Nobody predicted that Biden would be strong in either Iowa or New Hampshire. It doesn't look like either Buttigieg or Klobuchar will have strong results in the Super Tuesday states (with the possible exception of Minnesota).

(13,582 posts)Its all about the money. If you havent already bought TV time, rented offices, and staffed up in all the Super Tuesday states, its probably too late. IOUs wont do - its cash on the barrel head time.
