(3,855 posts)Pretty sure if we checked we could find a lot more anti-Bernie bias than pro.
Chris Matthews's comments about Sanders cheering if Fidel Castro did executions in Central Park was not a good look.
Nor was Joy Reid's putting on a quack "body language expert".

You'll provide the data analysis to support that statement? Or is the confirmation bias simply too comforting to disturb?

(6,921 posts)Despite a reputation as the liberal news network, MSNBC and NBC News have been harshly critical of Sanders, with hosts and contributors alike launching attacks on the senator.
On Monday, Meet the Press host Chuck Todd referred to supporters of Sanderswho lost family in the Holocaustas a brownshirt brigade, a reference to the Nazis. Hardball host Chris Matthews was slammed Friday for a fantastical rant about a potential Sanders presidency that ended with Matthews being executed in Central Park.

(26,339 posts)I kinda wondered about this. NH voters are a cantankerous refusenik bunch who dont stand for bullshit. Ive been wondering how much this ridiculous stop Bernie nonsense would help in NH.
Between that goofy Dr. thats on calling Bernie an oligarch and Tweety saying he would cheer executions, I think it helped Bernie.

(20,709 posts)There's an anti-bullying instinct that people have. There's a lot of anti-Bernie hostility in MSNBC, not all the hosts there, but overall it's obvious, and it gets ridiculous at times (e.g. Chris Matthews talking about executions in Central Park).
The point she makes about the cynicism and dishonesty of the "Bernie's lost 50% of his support since 2016" talking point is also very true. Do the people in the media pushing that line really think people don't understand that there are lots of candidates this time instead of basically just two?

(22,166 posts)supporters like this?! Not a good look. I would think rump's supporters would be the better choice to apply the 'brown shirts' analogy to, not Sanders or any other democratic candidates' supporters. But in all honesty, I'd prefer to not use this term as it brings up the horrible memories of hitler and his brown shirt supporters running roughshod over other candidates and supporters.

Interestingly enough, reddit convinced me to vote for anybody but Bernie.
He has good positions, but his supporters are so overbearing, it destroyed any goodwill I had until Iowa.
I was convinced he was the one this year. All the articles and polls said so.
Then the godamned mother******* whining started, again, after Iowa. Nothing but #1 will do and he deserves it godamned it!
No, actually, he doesn't deserve anything - he needs to earn it. And part of earning it is having some damned humility for fucks sake! I've never in my life seen such an attitude of entitlement - it's maddening!

(8,322 posts)Every time they go off -- and I mean everybody, from HC to Chuck Todd to Chris Matthews to Mimi "SkinCrawl" Roca to Zerlina Maxwell and every last donut on Twitter -- Bernie's army makes another donation, increases the phone calling and texting and blockwalking, and bears down a little harder to do every single small thing that is going to secure him the nomination.
He will not be denied this time.
And they just. can't. deal.
