If it were done when 'tis done, then 'twere well it were done quickly

I'm talking, of course, about the Bloomberg takeover of the Democratic Party.

It's looking like it's going to be Bernie vs Bloomberg in the end. Of the two, I prefer Bernie.

But, if it's going to be Bloomberg, it would be much better if he actually goes into the convention with a delegate lead. Because if Bernie's ahead in delegates, and Bloomberg comes out with the nomination, that is going to wreck party unity. I know, I know, the rules and plurality and second ballot and all that. But try telling that to a bunch of angry Bernie supporters. We need everybody on board to defeat Trump.

I'd guess that even now Pete and Biden are getting pressure from donors and party insiders to drop out and get behind Bloomberg, for this very reason.

primary today, I would vote for:

1. Bloomberg has a Nevada debate

To get through first. Let’s just let the first four states vote first before people are demanded to drop out. Debates have a way of effecting the race. And Bloomberg can’t hide behind an ad blitz on stage.

There are too many who are stampeding to conclusions.

Sadly, it seems that there are too many here who are.

for the greater good. New Hapshire is a political curiosity at best. Then next week we have another rigged so-called primary with the Nevada Caucuses (Ugh!). Things will start to go hardcore after that with South Carolina and Super Tuesday. That's when we find out who is real and who is done!

Too late could mean brokered convention, which could turn out bad.

I'd say, let's just get the Bernie Bloomberg race started, because that's where this is going anyway. If it gets muddled with other centrists, then all sides could come out of it feeling aggrieved. If Bernie has the most delegates and not the nomination, then the Bernie people get upset. If Bernie gets the nomination because the centrist vote is split multiple ways, then the centrist people get upset.
