(63 posts)It sounds like he's in the middle of relaying a story as opposed to expressing his opinion. Not sure.
This will get vetted by the media if he gets more popular and threatens the other front runners.

(8,144 posts)emerges will not be flattering. He was a true believer in Stop and Frisk which became more wide-spread and aggressive under him. The only thing that changed his belief was the fact that he decided
to run. In fact, contrary to any solid evidence, he believed the racially unjust policy brought the crime rate down. This he continued to contend despite no proof of it being true.

Certain candidates just feel that they are entitled to a pass from the media in terms of fact checking and reporting on their past actions and statements... so many of their supporters believe than any media that treats them like other candidates is "attacking him" because the candidate is "a threat."

(8,144 posts)Not one debate or primary contest and he is surging due to the results in one teeny white state and those projected for yet another which have been given such power as to alter what will likely happen
in all upcoming races. The crisis is manufactured, this interest in Bloomberg without sufficient research.

(14,565 posts)Try again. Obviously the source of this has no clue how it plays out with the masses
Dukakis got buried with the Willie Horton ad. That type of thing would still be disqualifying. It would be like Beto saying get rid of the wall period.
Don't look at these things toward how an ACLU purist would react. Look at them toward how an Archie Bunker might react. That may sound asinine but it's the path toward electoral margin for error for a Democrat. Get someone up there who fully intends to govern as a Democrat but says enough things to make even an Archie Bunker type pause enough to consider him or at least respect him.
Don't be afraid to nominate someone with his own version of 5th Avenue
