(3,327 posts)But the stakes are too high to fuck this one up. America as we know is over if Trump wins. So I can understand the panic. Joe has made a couple missteps and Bernie cannot win the nomination if the Dems want to beat Trump. In normal years you can make missteps, but this is not a normal year. We'll see where we are after Super Tuesday.

(47,534 posts)At first it was nice to see that the "revolutionaries" were choosing a Democrat.
But Sanders showed that he is the alpha male and, unfortunately, many of her supporters decided to stick with the original.
I do hope that both will disappear. Either of them will hurt the down campaigns.

I still think Biden is the best, but I'm worried that he's not really reacting to the smear that the Rus-publicans have made on him during the impeachment process. I was expecting him to have another Bill and Hillary 60 Minutes moment after the Gennifer Flower's allegations broke in early 1992. That's what he needs to do to dispel any notion that he (or his son) did anything at all wrong with respect to Ukraine. If he doesn't, the Rus-publicans have harped so much on this point that I suspect more than a few people around the US (and not the deplorables) think that there might be something to this.
Biden's been swiftboated for sure, but the key is how does he react. Right now, I don't see anything from him on this issue, and I'm getting a wee bit concerned.
That being said, it's still early. However, anyone attacked by Dear Impeached Leader needs to fight back HARD. Elizabeth Warren is doing that (the Pence/dog comment made me laugh out loud). But Biden's issues are far greater. He just needs that moment like Bill Clinton had in 1992....
Let's see.
