Democratic Primaries
Related: About this forumI no longer have anything to say about who it will be our standard bearer..Joe Biden
was my choice.
If I lived in NH and was going to vote this week.. Joe Biden would be my choice
If I were caucusing in NV week after this.. Joe Biden would be my choice
If I was part of the group who really will say who is going to be our candidate (Super Tuesday) Joe Biden would be my choice
I would never let the republicans get away with the smear campaign they have been using against Joe. Never. And if you have another candidate closer to you philosophically.. I hope you will stand up for that person. Because if they succeed doing to Joe what they did to Hillary , they are coming after them all.
Stand Strong Joe.

(301 posts)But I am today far closer to Amy than I would have expected to be at this stage.
Just being pragmatic, she is the next best viable option (followed by Warren).
The need to get Trump out of the Whitehouse outweighs my long time support from Joe.

(2,949 posts)They had convinced many, otherwise logical people, that Hillary was evil/crooked and so on. They turned Kerry into a war chicken from a war hero. They will do their damndest to make any candidate we put up what they want him/her to be. Part of our job this year is to make sure they don't succeed.

(45 posts)And no one seemed to care. In fact someone posted yesterday that Buttigieg's comments were no big deal.
I agree with smear campaigns. But that should be for EVERY candidate. Buttigieg included.
Save the rage for the appropriate target: Republicans.

(10,844 posts)Biden has been my preference from the start and continues to be my choice. Super Tuesday I'll get to cast my vote. Actually I plan to cast my vote early on the 18th, once I return from Jersey. That vote will be for Joe.
We hang together or we'll all hang separately.
I'm for hanging together!

(8,144 posts)with Joes obvious jokeand no, you dont have to know which movie to know its a line from some old Western-despite audience getting it. Now we have bizarre Joe etc.
Guess standing ovation last night stepped on the preferred narrative, Bidens campaign is terminal.
If he does get traction via a win in SC despite all attempts, including throwing the race to Bernie, MSM will likely spend as little time as possible on any positive Biden news, and instead, for the next 24 hours, warn of his impending doom in the next state and gush over a rivals miraculous surge.

(22,880 posts)own preferences.. but its like if they have to say anything positive about Joe.. It is always with a "but" so be it.. they are scared that Biden is going to calm the waters so much they will not have their 24 hour gin up on something or other that Trump gives them

(45,579 posts)unless you forgot the Ukraine business with his son and the famous phone call that got Trump impeached but not convicted. They're trying to smear Joe and have enough voters be disgusted in enough states to not vote for him and give it to Trump.
No matter how disgusting Trump is, their proven strategy is to lower our vote count as much as possible.

(19,581 posts)And, the silence from other Democrats who could be defending Biden is eye opening. It seems many dont care because it isnt their candidate or their choice. But, when Trump and Gooliani , and the Russians come after YOUR Candidate, dont expect me to care enough to defend him or her.

(8,865 posts)that everyone on this forum can agree that we need to go with the "most electable"............
The most electable, up until now, is Joe Biden. Period.
If you doubt my thinking, then ask yourself: Why have the Republicans and Trump being going after him full time, from every angle, for the last 9+ months. They aren't going to spend their time and money to go after someone they are not worried about, now are they?
All during the impeachment investigation and impeachment "hearing", instead of normal: Hillary, Hillary, Hillary, or Bengazi Bengazi Bengazi, or emails, emails emails it was BIDEN BIDEN BIDEN...........
Trump's DOJ/BARR has, in the past few days, begun everything he can to go all out to destroy Biden with criminal investigations, interviews, depositions and hearings........Trump now has the approval to invite other countries, even our enemy countries to legally interfere with our elections. The FEC has been rendered a nothing by the Republicans, The three government groups actively investigating election fraud was destroyed by Mitch taking their entire funding away, etc etc etc
If they are going to take out Biden, they must be supremely threatened that he will have the best chance against Trump.
It will be just like what they successfully and corruptly did to Gore, Kerrey, Hillary and others.....
The corrupt corporate fascist tyranny, (AKA Republicans) will go after Biden like they have never gone after anyone before............
With Biden about to experience the "all out Wrath of Hell", from undoubtedly the most corrupt party in this country's history, I'm not sure who we should go with for the nomination.
I have to say, the Democratic Party is in the worse shape they have ever been in......
They can't even control the continual and constant entry of all kinds of people into the primary, much less decide on who to go with.
At this rate, they won't have a designated candidate until October.......
I honestly think that the Democratic Party is being helped with the disarray by the Repubs every way possible.... Just look at Iowa.......A republican group sabotaged the system to collect Iowa democrat primary votes by overwhelming the Dem's phone lines with thousands of the Republican party members calling in and tying up the phone lines. It is a really really old scamming technique, the dem's IT should have prevented it...............(It's called a denial of service if you want to look it up)
Really simple shit, but overwhelming devastation......
I truly believe, all things considered,...... WASF

Joe Biden is a true public servant and a father figure for us all. I did not always agree with his decisions but I respect him. I am sorry that your candidate is not doing as well as you had hoped.
I recognize that we may all have to compromise somewhat to save our country from Trumpism.
I wrote this in the spirit of our coming together as Democrats. I have had enough of the nasty battles on DU.
