Why not have first primary state, be plural?

A much better primary sampling would be a few states. Why not have super Tuesday's multiple states become the first ones in February?

1. I think few candidates will have enough resources at that point

necessary to compete in several states at once. By Super Tuesday, one expects a few candidates to have momentum, but that is still a big challenge.

Personally, I’d favor rotating who goes first if we’re looking for a means of reform.

Bloomberg would be the favorite, the Obamas and Buttegiegs of the world wouldn't have a chance. We need to have an oppotunity for the candidates to spend time in individual states, not doing airport campaigning

3. What I would like to see is this:

Start with 3-4 individual contests (like we do now), but they should be states that better reflect our electorate (such as Illinois and Arizona). This step is important because those with less money and less name recognition deserve a chance to compete.

Then, have a Super Tuesday of 8-10 states a couple weeks later.

A month after that, all the rest of the states/territories would vote. Of course, this does mean that the candidates would completely ignore many of the states--that happens currently, as well, though. If some 40+ states and territories are voting on the same day, candidates will focus on the most delegate-rich states.

No caucuses. All primaries.

Iowa, New Hampshire, South Carolina and Nevada would provide a good opening act, and (with primaries, not caucus results) somewhat more representative of the country as a whole

Iowa/Nevada followed a week late with New Hampshire/South Carolina would do it. Just by making them all more of a grouping. If you then let 3 weeks go by before Super Tuesday you let the Campaigns adjust an consider.

I understand that there is a bill right now in our state legislature (which the Democrats control) to move the NM primary to mid January. At least our state is racially and ethnically diverse and composed of larger metropolitan areas and smaller rural ones.

primary today, I would vote for:
