(15,524 posts)They needed the time on the ground more than Senator Sanders, I think because this is Sanders's second (third?) time running for the Presidency and he had a strong team on the ground already. A passionate network of well-organized and experienced volunteers is essential along with excellent staff and exceptional strategists.
I am supporting Pete and glad he was able to stay in Iowa. I am simultaneously ticked off that Warren and Klobuchar were not able to do their absolute best in Iowa because they were in Washington "doing the right thing" - which was only necessary because of the pResident and his party of zombies.

(27,813 posts)Sanders already had his 2016 contingent, and Buttigieg, Yang, and Biden were all able to be more present. Buttigieg is also practically a neighbor.
I am mostly in for Warren and was disappointed, but hopefully having more time on the ground will help things.
I know it doesn't work this way, but it would have been nice if either Iowa had moved their date out, or if the other candidates had stepped back a little, too.

Again, I support Pete - but the experience of Senators Warren and Klobuchar should have been apparent in the results.
