I feel the same. Biden gets the meme's. Speaking out ahead of Obama on marriage is his too. Though I half suspect that was done to allow Obama to come out in support. Joe just being Joe allowed Obama to easily step out and endorse.

If he claims more credit than Obama.

But he can easily overplay his hand by putting too much emphasis on the credit he deserves.

and twists themselves in knots to avoid any mention of their success.

It's unbecoming and makes me question their authenticity. It won't kill you to say something true. On the other hand, we all know that the interviewer is looking only for a soundbite to run on repeat.
