Great quote by Bloomberg

“I’m running against Donald Trump — they’re running against each other. And my polls are going up, and their polls are going down. If I were them, I’d change their strategies.”

— Michael Bloomberg, in an interview with WPRI, on his rivals for the Democratic presidential nomination.

No one ever accused Michael Bloomberg of being stupid. His exclusion from the early states (Iowa, New Hampshire) is allowing him to stay above the fray. I have seen his ads on TV and they are effective and focused on cutting down Trump. He is correct that right now the Democratic Candidates are fighting each other and are not focused on beating Trump. I am not a fan of Bloomberg's in a number of ways, and do not appreciate that he is attempting to buy into the Democratic nomination with his money instead of doing any grassroots work. That said, I would vote for him over Trump in a heart beat.

He understands what the real threat is and has tried to keep the focus there.

Some of the others have tried to focus on the big picture as well, though perhaps to a somewhat lesser degree - Buttigieg, Steyer, Klobuchar. Or maybe they just don't get as much attention.

Bloomberg is smart as hell and knows what he's doing. It's unnerving his rivals bc it is unprecedented for a democratic contender. Like it or not, his out of the box thinking and approach IS showing results. Can't deny that. And he can beat Trump and that peaks my interest.

Do people not think most African Americans have families going back to the Revolution. How many Whites can say that.

"We disproportionately stop whites too much and minorities too little".

Obviously not as great as his quote in the OP, but arguably just as memorable.

We have to vote Trump out. Period. Everything else flows from that.

We can't be arguing about subtle intricacies of each candidate's health care plan. If he doesn't leave, we won't get any healthcare.

Stick together and focus on the goal.
