Democratic Primaries
Related: About this forumIt's beginning to appear that the problem wasn't with using the App to report results...
...it was with GETTING and VALIDATING the app. Apparently you have to download an installation app and the use a code to access a web link to down load to ACTUAL app. As someone pointed out, a lot of the Caucus Chairs are old-timers who need their grandkids to program the DVR. So a lot of people just skipped it and decided to call in their results.

(11,088 posts)state party. This could have easily been avoided with some very basic planning.
And also, it isn't just old timers that have issues with technology. Even I try to go with what seems the easier route if a process is super complicated. Calling it in seemed reasonable given all the other responsibilities these people had.

(13,582 posts)The big problem is that caucus rules were not followed equally at each precinct. For example. There were precincts where Elizabeth Warren and Amu Klobuchar did not reach a viable number after the first tally. The groups should have been released to join other caucus groups but they were not. Instead they were allowed to madly beg for delegates so they could survive. Thats not how the caucus rules read and thats not how they were applied in other precincts.
Pretty hard to validate results if each precinct is operating with a different set of rules.

On edit: a BIG problem is/was procedural as posted above.
