4. Biden is a good guy - but it's not enough...

to be decent, even when Trump is anything but.

Biden seems to be running on nostalgia - for the Obama years, for bipartisan partnerships, for a (cough) “kinder, gentler” nation. And he’s the comfort candidate - some nice warm soup after the trauma of the Trump era. Comfort for weary, scared voters - but also for the corporate status quo.

The country needs vision and the kind of fearlessness that will inspire the people enough to break the stranglehold of the obscenely corrupt RepubliCONs. I worry that none of the Dem candidates has what it will take - but pray that all of them do.

They aren't coming out in the cold to see someone that they plan to caucus for.

My prediction? Warren surprises, she takes a buttload of college kids and young women from Bernie to finish second to Joe, with Joe getting a solid showing from older folks to win. Bernie finishes fourth, just behind Buttigieg.

People may stand in big rally crowds and get excited by the electricity, but don't show up to vote or caucus because it is freezing outside, snowing and the roads are slick. Bernie had much bigger crowds than Hillary in South Carolina, New York, Pennsylvania, Florida and California in 2016 and she smoked him in each of those states on primary day.
