(2,897 posts)A dozen DNC members could try to push a rules change to install a golden donkey on the moon. It doesn't make it likely to happen or even newsworthy. Why the tweeter and Politico chose to highlight the ramblings of a few members out of 200+ is beyond me? However, I wouldn't trust their intentions.
The article even puts their numbers at 6. 6 out of 200+ is not representative of the whole DNC and an editor should ashamed for letting that insinuation in the headline.

(383 posts)He's right about the crazy part. We'll need to take his word that the party wouldn't try something so divisive and self destructive.

(22,913 posts)Talk about playing into a "rigged election" narrative. It's hard to be more obvious than changing the rules in midstream to obviously hurt one candidate if too many Democratic voters are rallying to him.
I recognize that this is allegedly a small group considering this, and as of now nothing has been changed. But in truth it would just take a relatively "small group" in the leadership of the Democratic Party to change the rules if they so desire. If this is a trial balloon I hope it is shot down decisively.
