By Tal Axelrod
In the crucial swing state of Michigan, President Trump trails all of his Democratic challengers that were asked about in a new EPIC-MRA of Lansing poll released Wednesday.
The survey flashes a warning sign for Trump, whose path to reelection likely runs through Midwestern states like Michigan that historically vote Democratic but backed his 2016 bid against Democratic nominee Hillary Clinton.
Trumps largest deficit in the poll is against former New York City Mayor Michael Bloomberg, whom he trails by a 49 percent to 42 percent margin. He also trails former Vice President Joe Biden 50 percent to 44 percent, Sen. Bernie Sanders (I-Vt.) 50 percent to 45 percent, former South Bend, Ind., Mayor Pete Buttigieg 47 percent to 43 percent and Sen. Elizabeth Warren (D-Mass.) 48 percent to 45 percent.

When voters were asked if they would definitely vote to reelect Trump or definitely vote against him if the election were today, 44 percent said they would replace him and 34 percent said they would back him. Another 19 percent said they would consider voting for someone else, and only 3 percent were undecided.

We will not let that thing steal our state again no matter how much money is pumped in or how many hatefests he holds.

(7,432 posts)Remember that he can do whatever he wants to win re-election. He can laugh at the FEC, which as been toothless anyway for decades. He'll commit campaign violations left and right. We'll all watch it, we'll all protest, but we'll be powerless to do anything.
Can anyone tell me whether ANY dictator in history has EVER lost an election?
I'm not writing this miserable suggestion because I want to be this morning's bummer. I'm writing to describe the utter seriousness of the Senate's acquittal. What they will do will change the nation to something it's never been. It will lose the framework of the Constitution. And we will be adrift, with no guiding document.
I'm hoping that the free press will unify in its horror and pound the GOP relentlessly before the acquittal vote. I'm hoping for massive demonstrations all over the country.
Losing the Framework of the Constitution was incredibly easy. It just takes a vote in the Senate. Getting the Framework back will be unbelievably difficult, and the effort will turn violent. It won't come down to another Senate vote.
