(50,989 posts)earliest 4 primary states. Everyone else is doing a dogfight for those 4 states, but those 4 states really only offer up a tiny number of delegates.
Bloomberg is letting them rip each other apart, and he is flooding later states with ground game and ads, concentrating on states that offer huge numbers of delegates. Right now he's alone in those places. He's got great ads and tons of money.
I saw him do it in NYC. NO ONE thought he had a chance. EVERYONE thought he was a joke. But he figured out the mathematical method that worked. And he's doing it again.
I'm OK with it. I hate some of the things he did in NYC, some of which directly affected my pocketbook because he hates unions including mine. Others, like stop and frisk, disgusted me. But I think he is an astonishing administrator and a very canny guy.
My take on this election? We have one job. Only one. Nothing else matters. NOTHING. And I think Bloomberg can do it.
My current bumper sticker says, "Any Democrat 2020." I include Bloomberg in that. I'll happily vote for him if he's the guy.
