Democratic Primaries
Related: About this forumI had posted this almost exactly a year ago stating that Sanders had a good shot
due to the math and the fact that Iowa and New Hamsphire were first.
My argument was essentially dismissed by most responders here, but even with Biden in the race now, it looks like Bernie still has a pretty good shot due to the polls.
Looking at the date, it was a year and a day ago.

(56,828 posts)Sanders in the general election. I think he might be the weakest among Biden, Warren and Sanders in a general election. Not sure about Mayor Pete in a GE. I think Klobuchar might do better in a general election as well, especially with the right running mate.
i think a caucus in Iowa is tailor made for his supporters, and New Hampshire is right next door to his home state, so he has momentum potentially going into Super Tuesday - especially if a Warren drops out of the race after NH.

(56,828 posts)just noting that my math was mostly correct last year when it was dismissed out of hand by most.
I'm not a Sanders supporter by any stretch, but a year ago almost everybody here was looking at his chances to win the nomination with disdain.
