Sanders' rise shows voters want someone with courage, principles and the right priorities.

If real courage is measured by being there before something is politically popular, and being guided not by counting the votes but by principle, Sanders has it on so many issues. He has what it takes to defeat Trump and make America work for all of its residents.

I really love having Bernie as my Senator... my ideology is much akin to his....

what I fear is another 4 years of Trump and in my heart I believe that can happen if Bernie is our nominee (and I don't think Bernie would be a good/effective President

FDR lived and accomplished much in a different time... we live in a much different world and the changes needed, need different tactics

our best bet would be to work tirelessly to turn the Senate Blue, keep the House Blue and then just about any of the other Democratic candidates will be able to do what's needed

Sure, people are unhappy at the mess their own negligence has gotten us all in, but honest information is desperately needed to stop the slide by more people making wiser choices.

I heard that if Sanders does "win" Iowa, a "Never-Sanders" campaign by concerned Democrats will start educating the public so they can know more about the Real Bernie Sanders.

Right now, most "information" is coming from the Sanders camp and the MSM, with too many of the latter working along with foreign enemies to try to use Sanders once again to defeat Democrats.

Sanders' bizarre notion that he's going to generate a giant wave of support that will make him Legislator-in-Chief, with congress fearfully rubberstamping whatever the people (who just elected them) demand, is way beyond just delusional. It's anti-democratic extremism. We elect presidents to administer the laws congress passes, not to cause chaos by trying to run a socialism-leaning revolution from within.

As for the MfA idea he's been using to run on, I feel sure he's never wanted it. MfA is for-profit capitalism, for god's sake! Sanders has always based his ideology on loathing that and the need to run people who support it out of government. I believe the MfA slogan is merely a means to undo the Democrats' ACA, which badly undermined his most politically useful argument for the urgent need to socialize our systems.

Trump should make everyone realize we're voting for a presidential administration, not a healthcare program.

Since Sanders has mostly worked alone over the years, his entire history is not very complex, even with all his obfuscations. You're going to find out he's a true believer. His contempt for the choices Democratic voters have always made is as real as his attempt to overset their vote in 2016.

Also, since the subjects are brought up, how about extremist personality and politics? His plans for HOW he's going to accomplish his impossible goals are real wowsers. Take a good look at his own earnest explanations he's given many times. His whackadoodle plan to overset our system of checks and balances as president, because he assumes rightly that congress would block his more extreme plans, isn't exactly protective of the liberal democracy nations around the planet have copied from us.

Also his constant assertions for decades that Democrats do the same things as Republicans, always have, and are really hardly different. What does it say about him that he could believe Democrats also pack the courts with extremist judges who persecute minorities, like the Republicans do? Yes, he said that, at the She the People conference. One of thousands of reality-denying over the years that should make everyone take a real good look at him.

Also learn what the Democratic socialism he's promoted for years is -- never to be confused with the socialist democracy systems within capitalist economies of some European nations, no matter how he tries to fool people that it should be. Onions and oranges.

As for your last, those who believe mainstream choices must be overcome for everyone's good are unquestionably demonstrating "undemocratic belief systems." Those who supported Sanders as he promised many times to overthrow the popular primary vote to have himself made the nominee did just that, and those who support him now, with undeniable proof of what he'd do, are doing just that.

Clinton does not think Sanders "worked" for her, btw, nor any of her staff, nor any of the Democratic Party leadership. Most think he cost the Democratic Party the 2016 election, including senate and a big part of the house. And many of them have said so for the public record. He's done it before in that past you should look into. And he himself has said Democrat-Republican? No real difference and means it.

Again, we all should know who and what we're supporting. Before we vote for it and are in for whatever's hidden behind door #3. In this case, someone who literally thinks it doesn't matter much if we elected Trump because both parties are terrible.

Check the polling.

And Bernie as the nominee guarantees a terrible loss, and losing the House.

Take a few minutes Donkees and do some research. His background - no serious full-time job until his 30s, child out of wedlock, no financial support for the child, supporting the Sandistas, honeymooning in the Soviet Union, repeated praise for Fidel Castro, and on and on and on.

And most of all, free college, free healthcare, free housing, with absolutely no idea of what it will cost and how to achieve it.

Win the battleground states?

Trump is criticizing all of the top Dem candidates but not a word about Bernie, just as it was the case in 2016.

He will eviscerate Bernie. By the time he's done with him, there won't be much left.

But there will be 4 more years of Trump, and the death of our democracy.
