If Toomey's Bolton for Biden trade makes you enraged, remember Bloomberg helped get him re-elected.

As Michael Bloomberg edges closer to entering the Democratic race for president, he faces deep skepticism on the left over his Wall Street background and his record as New York City mayor. Those problems might be exacerbated in Pennsylvania.

In the last two federal election cycles, Bloomberg helped two high-profile Republicans win critical races in the Keystone State.

Gun control groups backed by Bloomberg endorsed U.S. Sen. Pat Toomey in 2016 and U.S. Rep. Brian Fitzpatrick in 2018, lending weight to their pitch to voters that they were independent voices who could collaborate across the aisle. In both races, the lawmakers were trying to win over moderate swing voters, and each narrowly squeaked to reelection.

as the article pointed out, and others

Michael Bloomberg contribute 100 million in 2018 to get Democrats elected and has just last month pledged 10 million to help Democrats who might be negatively impacted by impeachment. Speaker Pelosi took the opportunity to publicly thank Bloomberg for the 100 million in 2018 election cycle when she thanked him for his latest pledge of 10 million.

The spending is in line with Bloomberg's backing of Democratic causes for years. During the midterm election cycle last year, Bloomberg's financial firepower helped Democrats wrest control of the House away from Republicans, with the billionaire donating over $100 million to that effort.

But the more recent announcements also appear to make good on a promise by Bloomberg that his costly bid would not divert funds away from the Democratic causes he's been bankrolling for years.
House Speaker Nancy Pelosi welcomed Bloomberg's donation in a statement to CNN on Wednesday.

"In 2018, Mayor Bloomberg was a critical ally in helping House Democrats regain the Majority," said Pelosi, a California Democrat. "Now, the stakes are even higher as we work to make health care more affordable by reducing the skyrocketing cost of prescription drugs, increase wages and root out corruption.
"We welcome and thank Mayor Bloomberg for his support," she said.

A lot of us don't trust him because we knew about stop and frisk. I didn't know he had supportted these repug asses so now I'm swinging back to the anti-him column, where I was before he made the announcement about supporting Dems if he didn't personally win. Now I don't know if I trust this or not? How can I trust anyone who helped repugs get elected, just can't see it at all.
