Trump isn't -6 % in Delaware ….It's probably closer to -15% in Delaware ( 42% approve / 57 % disapprove ) All the candidates will defeat Trump in Delaware ….It won't be close ...

If I were to vote in a presidential
primary today, I would vote for:

Joe Biden would handily prevail over President Donald J. Trump in a general election matchup in his home state, but his rivals for the Democratic presidential nomination would have a tough race on their hands against the incumbent.

The head-to-head projections come from a new poll of Delaware voters by Maryland-based Gonzales Research and Media Services, which showed the former vice president and long-time US Senator – who has never lost a Delaware election – would beat Trump 56% to 40%, earning a majority of the vote in every age group.

Strikingly, however, Trump was neck-in-neck with other leading Democrats vying for their party’s nomination:

Biden 56%, Trump 40%
Sanders 47%, Trump 46%
Warren 49%, Trump 46%
Buttigieg 50%, Trump 45%
Bloomberg 48, Trump 47%

No Republican has come close to winning Delaware since George H. W Bush took over 55 percent of the vote against Massachusetts Governor Michael Dukakis in 1988. Since then the Democrats have won every election handily including giving Hillary Clinton a 12-point margin over Trump in 2016.

The poll of 410 registered voters was conducted from January 16th through January 21st. The voters said they are likely to vote in the 2020 general election, and they were queried through live telephone interviews, utilizing both landline (35%) and cell phone (65%). The margin of error for the survey is plus or minus 5 percent.

President Trump’s approval rating in Delaware stands at 45 percent, which hues closely to recent national averages. The poll showed 51 percent of Delawareans disapprove of Trump, with 4 percent offering no opinion.
