Let's imagine for a second that Bernie is now the President... or Warren for that matter... and M4A is crafted by AOC in the House.

TELL ME HOW IT BECOMES LAW.

How does it get enough votes in the Senate so that it goes to Bernie's desk in the Oval Office?

And then tell me how we pay for it.

how much does it cost... how much "off the top" of the Pentagon will you take... and what will the transaction tax on Wall Street do to the stock market and peoples 401Ks?

And, finally, how do you get the laws that make all of this magic happen passed in the Senate.

This is similar to Trump saying "we are going to get the Iraqi oil". There is currently NO mechanism to do so. Not enough oil tankers in the world, no storage facilities in the US, etc. It is simply not feasible even IF Trump could get the congress to go along with his proposed war crime.

The same for M4A. Nobody will own up to the true cost... And more importantly, even if we all agreed on the cost and how to pay for it, getting at least enough Republicans to break a filibuster... isn't going to happen by people hoping for it. At least with the ACA (which cost the Democrats dearly), there is a hope of restructuring it to improve it.

I would love for the ACA to be made better than originally intended.
One way, or another, a single payer system needs to be implemented.
The Pentagon is a hole that too much money pours into. I want to see the defense budget cut, period.

As for that tax on Wall St., that needs to happen regardless of whether
the revenue is used for healthcare, or not.
I favor major, permanent, fundamental banking and financial reforms in general,
including an overhaul of those 401K's you mentioned, as well as other "consumer friendly" actions.

Where does he get off.

All for something he has zero ideas of how to enact.

Bros: 'Tell us again oh exalted one.' 'Summon your pure wisdom and utter the words that explain how we'll get this M4A you speak of and valiantly fight for...for all.'

Bernie: *cough* 'Sorry, got some lobster slider stuck in my throat.' 'Ahem.'

'We will have Medicare for All when tens of millions of people are prepared to stand up and tell the insurance companies and the drug companies that their day is gone, that health care is a human right, not something to make huge profits off of.'

Don't sign and you're corrupt - one of the charges levied at Biden by Bernie toady Zephyr Teachout - but they do this:

Watchdog files FEC complaint against pro-Bernie Sanders nonprofit

<snip>

"The watchdog group Common Cause filed a complaint with the Federal Election Commission on Wednesday, alleging that Our Revolution, a political nonprofit organization founded by Bernie Sanders, violated campaign finance law by accepting donations in excess of federal limits while boosting his White House ambitions."

<snip>

"The campaign finance act says groups established by federal officeholders or candidates cannot raise money for federal electoral activity that exceeds the limitations of the law. Those contributions are currently set at $2,800 for candidates and $5,000 for political action committees.

Our Revolution has taken in nearly $1 million from donors whose contributions exceeded those limits and whose identities it hasn't fully disclosed, according to tax filings for 2016, 2017 and 2018. Much of it came from donors who contributed six-figure sums."

“As we engage with our opponents in the Democratic primary, we will forcefully present our views and defend ourselves against misrepresentations,” Sanders wrote. “But, let us do our very best to engage respectfully with our Democratic opponents―talking about the issues we are fighting for, not about personalities or past grievances. I want to be clear that I condemn bullying and harassment of any kind and in any space.” - Bernie Sanders

His work is done here.

They went after this guy hard. For having an tweet critical of Bernie read on TV.

He's always cloaked himself in a veil of belligerency. I've seen clips of this. From him and his staff. Politico eventually busted him for lying about his son's mother and forced him to change his official bio.

"All of that was interesting. But I wanted to know not just about what Sanders has done. I wanted to know more about who he has been. So I asked what I thought was an innocuous question about Sanders’ son. How did Sanders juggle aspirations as an eager political activist with his role as a divorced young father?

“That’s out of bounds,” Franco said.

Out of bounds?

“It’s none of your f—-ing business,” he said. He smiled, but he wasn’t joking."
