If you're a progressive or whatever label you use,

here's something to think about:

I'm more of a traditional Democrat. As such, I always vote for the Democrats on my ballot. Always. Whether I am enthusiastic about a presidential nominee, though, varies. And that affects my activities in support of the nominee.

I will enthusiastically support Joe Biden, among the current front-runners.
I will enthusiastically support Elizabeth Warren, as well.
I will vote for Bernie Sanders, if he becomes the nominee.

I'm not alone, either.

If I were to vote in a presidential
primary today, I would vote for:
Joe Biden

No matter who get the nom, I will work locally for their election. Too important to be divided.

I guess that won't happen.

The reason you give is probably correct, though. If so, it confirms something I suspect - that for many, Bernie is the personality they want. He is their leader, whether he wins or not. They aren't really considering anyone else, and will be really, really sad if Bernie doesn't get the nomination. Angry, even.

I'm not about that at all. I'm about winning the next presidential election for a Democrat.

I am enthusiastically going to support and vote for the democratic nominee. Each of the people running in the primary has strong attributes.

Vote blue no matter who -- up and down the ballot!

6. I always vote for the Democratic Nominee, and have since 1968,

when I could first vote for a President. I have not always campaigned for the nominee, though. For example, I did not campaign for LBJ, but voted for him because he was the Democratic nominee. In other cases, I have campaigned for the nominee, knowing that nominee would lose.

Except to the individual using them.

Whatever your self appellation, the benefits of voting blue should be obvious.

10. Of course. Voting for Democrats is always my policy.

However, I do not always campaign for specific Democratic candidates for any office. My time is valuable, so I campaign only for those Demcrats I believe would be an excellent choice. I vote for them all, though, if they are on the ballot in the general election. Democrats always have my vote, but not always my enthusiasm. I can't fake enthusiasm.

Just voting because you don't get an emotional thrill from the candidate might not be enough.

8. same here..i got a text from Sanders camp asking me if I was 'in' for Bernie..
Fri Jan 17, 2020, 01:22 PM
Jan 2020

..i texted back 'sorry' (Ive done this texting before so I know more than likely its a real human so I try to be polite). They stated they understood and asked who i was supporting. I told them 'Joe' in the primary and said if BS gets the Dem Nom I would vote for him in the General. Then I asked texter if they would do the same and support the nom if its NOT their candidate. They enthusiastically said 'yes!' that its important to defeat Trump. That made me feel good..esp that they didnt try to sell me on their candidate.

9. Both I and my wife got that same text.

She replied like you did. I simply deleted the text. What's odd is that I have not given out my cell phone number to any political organization. They still have my landline number, which has since been disconnected.

So, I do wonder how the Sanders campaign got that number, or if they are simply blanketing all cell phones in my 295 exchange.

In any case, I won't be responding to any political texts on my cell phone. I will simply delete them.

We didn’t know how they got our mobile numbers. It felt like a rude intrusion.

Replying with STOP puts an end to most automated texts.

Any Democrat is vastly better than Trump and this is definitely NOT the time to play footsies with a 3rd party because our country, our world, can't afford 4 more years of Trump. If you think he's been horrific so far how the heck do you think he'd be if he was handed a 2nd term?

There are current 'D' candidates that I don't care for that much for a variety of reasons but I will gladly go to the voting booth and vote for any one of them because...
In doing so...
I'm voting AGAINST that lying, bullying narcissistic POS, Trump and his Russian owner, Putin.
