One hopes that this trend strengthens.

(49,034 posts)2. The general-election polling of our candidates versus Trump has almost always shown Biden doing
better than any of our other candidates.
It would be foolish to bet on Trump being unpopular enough in November that candidates who don't do as well against him in GE polls can still be counted on to win.
Especially since recent GE polls show the race tightening, but Biden still doing better against Trump than other Democratic candidates.

(5,376 posts)3. um, "each of the matchups is within the poll's margin of error"
from the OP article:
That could be hurting Democrats. In a general election ballot test, Joe Bidens 9-point lead over Trump three months ago is down to 5 points. In addition, Elizabeth Warren was up by 4 points in early October and now is up by 2 points, and Bernie Sanders 5-point advantage is now 4 points. Pete Buttigieg is up over Trump by one point.
Nothing is clear cut: each of the matchups is within the polls margin of error, all the candidates are below 50 percent support, and 12-17 percent are undecided or backing another candidate.

(5,376 posts)6. Yes, according to this poll all 4 can beat Trump.
And all 4 matchups are within the margin of error.
It's strange how people seem to be ignoring that.
