(10,136 posts)For some reason the media hasn't been able to wrap its collective head around these new-fangled notions of being able to vote in advance of the official election day or voting by mail and continues to send pundits to sit in diners in Iowa.

(146,308 posts)When people vote doesn't matter all that much. It's when the tally is available that matters. We'll be able to vote early here in Minnesota, too, and probably the same is true in other March 3 states. We'll know the results on March 4. That's when those elections will count.
Undecided voters won't vote early, most likely. they'll wait and vote on March 3, so the early voting won't really change anything.
