No longer Mayor Pete?

Are there term limits? Or did he just decide not to run again?

I suppose, though, just as we sill refer to “Vice President Biden,”. He is still Mayor Pete?

If I were to vote in a presidential
primary today, I would vote for:
Joe Biden

I suppose we can still call him "Mayor Pete."

I haven't had the chance to ask him.

... you get to keep your title. I thought. I know presently deranged Mayor Ghouliani keeps his mayor title. Most people refer to ex-politicians as their last title, if the retire from politics. So Hillary was called "Secretary Clinton" instead of "Senator Clinton". Sometimes a previous title becomes part of a name, and people break from tradition, like saying "General Eisenhower" even after he became President.

No personal reference is there.

Note also the small 'm' in mayor Ghoul as opposed to Mayor Pete.

Similar to "damn straight" which might have been seen as pejorative.

He will get a new honorarium soon enough.
