Democratic Primaries
Related: About this forumMy 2020 New Year's Resolution is to never criticize Bernie Sanders again.
Haaaaa! Kidding!
Happy New Year everyone! --- And that includes all the Bernie fans that I spar with... Happy New Year to you too! Even though Bernie won't be our party's nominee... we will ALL be able to rejoice and celebrate together when our party's eventual nominee wins the election and he (or she) becomes the Leader of the Free World.

(628 posts)That Bernie will never be the nominee so Elitist.
Bernie is not my top choice but to deny what he has accomplished and the amount of support and support from young people is just foolish.
At our Christmas Eve Party this year I asked my nephews who theyre going to vote for both said Bernie without hesitation. One is 22 & the other is 27. I even asked them at Bernie being old and they said its not about age its about policy and Bernie has the best policy.
I tried to sell them on Pete but it didnt work.
My point is its insulting to tell people their candidate cant win even if it is true. It turns people away and we do not want to turn people away.
By the way my son (18) is all in on Yang. Mostly because of the tech stuff. But if you tell him Yang has no chance he gets mad then criticizes the other candidates. We have to be careful and not rub peoples noses in their choice when they lose. Because politics is personal.

Yang isnt in my top 2 but his thinking and good sense have impressed me and Id love to have the eventual nominee have him head an IT modernization task force.
