Did Biden say he would consider a Republican running mate?

According to this clip he did. What would be the purpose of saying that?

If he said no, he would alienate moderate Republicans who might otherwise not vote or vote Dem to free themselves from the disgrace of Trump. But he also didn't say he had anyone in mind, so no promises.

He was asked the question, and his response included this caveat: "I can't think of one now." He has also said he would prefer a woman or a person of color, which rules out almost all GOPers. The reality is that no Democratic candidate is going to choose a Republican running mate.

I've never known or heard of a really decent Republican.... ironically, it's comments like this are why they're no big deal, as Joe will not be the nominee precisely because of them.

I HIGHLY doubt Joe would run with a progressive, who by definition, does not represent the same return to normalcy and incremental change policies he does.

Picking a mirror of his policies from the Republicans is not the same as picking one from Democratics. It elevates the Republican above all Democratics.
