Sanders set to release medical history by end of year,,has he..???

Sen. Bernie Sanders’ presidential campaign says it still plans to release the 78-year-old Vermont senator’s health records along with a letter from his doctor by the end of December.
Sanders pledged to make his medical history public on Oct. 24, a week after returning to the campaign trail after suffering a heart attack.
“I want to make it comprehensive,” Sanders told the Associated Press at the time. “The answer is I will, probably by the end of the year

IMHO, the nominee from both sides will be older than we are used to. It would be ideal to have someone younger, but I don't see it happening this time around. In that case, I'd say it's time to put this issue aside and focus on other issues and beating Trump in November.

condition, we have no reason to believe Biden isn't the same person he always was, same type of occasional gaffs in speaking he's made for years. To my mind, he's seemingly tougher and less of a too-agreeable marshmallow after dealing with what his old buddies, the Republicans, have become in this century, but that's just development through experience.

As for Sanders, at one time I read everything I could find on and by him (thinking I might be able to support him after Warren declined to run in 2015), and my takeaway was no change in thinking. I think it would be a mistake to assume his deflecting to the same few standard statements in appearance after appearance might indicate dementia because they've been essentially the same for several decades. His family history doesn't indicate a predisposition to dementia, his passions are also still as revolutionary and national in scale as they always were, and, above all, that rigid thinking that might make one wonder has characterized him for 50 years.

Finally, questionable and bizarre as it may seem, Sanders' belief that Democrats are mostly just Republicans with hypocritical conceits of being better can't indicate age-related decline because, again, he's always believed that. And that rigid, unwavering conviction has always played a major role in his personal identity and ideology. Nothing new.

Washington — Democratic presidential hopeful Bernie Sanders was declared to be in good health by his primary physician and fit for the presidency by two cardiologists after suffering a heart attack in early October.

Sanders, a senator from Vermont, released letters from the three doctors Monday, following through on his plan to disclose his health records by the end of the year.
Dr. Brian Monahan, the attending physician to Congress, said in one letter that Sanders, 78, is "in good health" and has been "engaging vigorously in the rigors of your campaign, travel, and other scheduled activities without any limitation."

Records released by Sanders' campaign reveal the senator underwent a physical examination December 19 and a treadmill stress test with continuous EKG monitoring December 11. The latter test is "an important clinical tool to evaluate exercise capacity and predict outcomes in patients with a cardiac condition," according to a letter from Dr. Philip Ades, the director of cardiac rehabilitation at the University of Vermont Medical Center.
Ades said Sanders exercised "to a level that is approximately 50% higher than other men his age with a similar diagnosis."

"Mr. Sanders is more than fit enough to pursue vigorous activities and an occupation that requires stamina and an ability to handle a great deal of stress," he wrote.

Sen. Bernie Sanders is in “good health,” nearly three months after suffering a heart attack, the attending physician at the US Capitol said in a letter released Monday.

https://kdvr.com/2019/12/30/bernie-sanders-is-in-good-health-after-heart-attack-doctor-says-in-summary-of-health/

The physician, Brian Monahan, said in a summary of the Vermont senator’s health that Sanders is no longer taking several of the medications initially prescribed to him after the heart attack.
“Several of the medications you initially required (blood-thinner, beta blocker) were stopped based on your progress,” Monahan wrote. “Your heart muscle strength has improved. You have never had symptoms of congestive heart failure. The heart chamber sizes, wall thickness, estimated pressures, and heart valves are normal. Several 24-hour recordings of your heart electrical activity indicated no significant heat rhythm abnormality.”

Later in the letter, Monahan said “You are in good health currently and you have been engaging vigorously in the rigors of your campaign, travel, and other scheduled activities without any limitation.”

The campaign also released two additional letters from physicians at the University of Vermont, who have examined Sanders since his heart attack earlier this year, saying that Sanders is in good health and making a strong recovery. The doctors, Philip Ades, Patrick Savage and Martin LeWinter, said they believed Sanders is fit to serve as president.

Sanders is not the first candidate to release his medical information. Earlier this month, former Vice President Joe Biden, Massachusetts Sen. Elizabeth Warren and former New York Mayor Michael Bloomberg — all in their 70s — released reports or letters from their doctors.

something, just Google it. I found out both Biden and Bernie's doctors released "letters summarizing their health". Of course I didn't give a shit about their medical information and Bernie's doctor had a press conference after his heart attack saying he was fine. I'm confident in my thinking that neither would run if they had health issues. Are you upset that it seems a lot of other posters didn't know and posted asking about it and didn't Google to find out? I kind of doubt that.

While Sanders is yet to make his medical history public, last presidential election cycle, the Vermont senator released a letter from his doctor in late January 2016, days before the first-in-the-nation caucuses.

Dr. Brian Monahan, Sanders’ attending physician at the Capitol, wrote the Vermont senator was in good health but has had a variety of medical conditions over the years, including a hernia surgery in 2015 as well as the removal of “superficial skin tumors” and a cyst from his vocal cords, according to the Washington Post.

Monahan also reported that Sanders has had gout — a form of arthritis — a “mild” case of high cholesterol, diverticulitis — inflammation of the digestive tract — an underactive thyroid condition, and lower back issues.

Mon Dec 30, 2019, 08:54 PM

Biden doctor said he has persistent atrial fibrillation, a type of irregular heartbeat that's potentially serious but treatable. His heart is functioning normally and his only needed care is a blood thinner to prevent the most worrisome risk, blood clots or stroke. He has had blood clots in the lung and two aneurysms He keeps his cholesterol at healthy levels with the use of a statin medication. He has had several small, non-melanoma skin cancers removed over the years. But the letter from his doctor makes no mention of a cardiac stress test, which would eliminate any questions about heart function. Biden also has diverticulitis and has had several orthopedic injuries.

summary of his health. None of them released their medical records, thinking one did is jumping to conclusions.
Liz's doctor also released a letter summary of her health. Warren takes medication for hypothyroidism, a common condition in which the thyroid gland is underactive, according to the letter. Her blood pressure is 115/57, and she has had a flu shot this year. Her doctor also provided a hematology report including information on everything from her platelet count to the size of her red blood cells.

“The answer is I will, probably by the end of the year.”

Faiz Shakir, Sanders’ campaign manager, later added to reporters that Sanders’ health records would include a letter from his doctor that would show he had made a full recovery from his heart attack earlier that month.
