The Issue Is Not What I Did.' Joe Biden Says He Would Not Comply With Subpoena to Testify in Trump Impeachment Trial

Former vice President Joe Biden reiterated on Friday that he would not comply with a subpoena to testify during President Donald Trump’s Senate impeachment trial, should he be served with one.

“The reason I wouldn’t is because it’s all designed to deal with Trump doing what he’s done his whole life: trying to take the focus off him. The issue is not what I did,” Biden said during a meeting .....

No formal charges were brought on Biden. Why would he need to testify..

Let the GOP..they .all lied under oath....abunch cons they are the criminals let them answer all there subpoenas. that they haven't
Just another smear on Joe...

I agree with Joe....

selling access to trump around the world, assisting in the largest emoluments scam in history, engaging in treason, and perhaps worse.

Better than trying to explain it during the General Election, where it will surely come up.

I doubt seriously GOPers will subpoena Biden. Testifying will likely go in Biden's favor, not trump's or GOPers'. It could well turn public sentiment against trump to 70+% for removal.

I want to clarify something I said yesterday. In my 40 years in public life, I have always complied with a lawful order and in my eight years as VP, my office — unlike Donald Trump and Mike Pence — cooperated with legitimate congressional oversight requests.

Not at all. We know who Biden is and how he will govern. He's an honest man with high morals. No one can dispute that. They can try.. but it doesn't cut the mustard. People who are making this into something big are only doing so to prop up their own candidate. This is not an issue anyone in the real world cares a poop about.

is about the crimes of Donald Trump, not Joe Biden. Biden doesn't have a dog in this hunt, but Trump and his henchmen do. I applaud Joe resisting the urge to testify. That's just falling into Donald Trump's shit-show of misdirection, and there's absolutely no reason for him to do that.

Sat Dec 28, 2019, 09:10 PM
Dec 2019

And that is that the GOP, Trump, and the RW media will use his non compliance as another "they do it too". And imply that it's exactly the same as those witnesses requested by Democrats.
WE know it's not the same at all. Biden nor his son have even a suspicion of doing anything illegal.
But Fix News will frame it that way for their audience. And that audience will have one more alt-fact to use to defend defending the indefensible. And another reason to go to their polling station and vote for Trump again
