Elizabeth Warren reports sharp decrease in fund-raising ahead of FEC deadline

Senator Elizabeth Warren’s presidential campaign disclosed on Friday that she’s facing a sharp drop in fund-raising ahead of a fourth-quarter deadline and is launching a last-minute appeal to supporters to close some of the gap.

Warren has raised $17 million so far in the fourth quarter, the campaign told supporters in an e-mail Friday. That’s down from $24.6 million in the third quarter, a roughly 31 percent drop.

“If the numbers don’t pick up, we run the risk of having to pull back plans to organize for Elizabeth Warren in all 50 states during the primary,” her campaign said in the e-mail, which asked for donations before Dec. 31.

Warren’s campaign acknowledged that announcing the fund-raising total ahead of the reporting deadline is unusual . Candidates often bombard their supporters with fund-raising e-mails toward the end of each quarter and often say they are running behind their goal — former vice president Joe Biden did just that on Thursday — but they rarely give specific figures and usually wait until after the quarter ends to announce their totals.

And that Sander's out fundraises the Wine Cave/Rich Bundlers' candidates?

lol

What was that comment about Fund Raising Purity again?

Oh, I wasn't suppose to mention Biden doing poorly or Sanders doing well?

Ok...

I am sure the poster had good reason to bring up fundraising numbers.

But it remains to be seen if grassroots fund raising can outperform the big donor fundraising in this primary season.

So far, Sanders seems to be the fund raising king and Warren remains in the top 3. I don't think that will change in the 4th quarter.

I honestly don't believe Biden will be the 2020 Nominee.

But the proof is in the pudding.

Let's see what actually happens once voting starts!

Good luck to you and your preferred candidate!

We'll have a clearer idea after Super Tuesday.

If Biden has more delegates than Warren and Sanders combined, it's over, he will be the nominee.

If not, he won't. Another candidate will emerge as eventual nominee.

I am waiting to see how many delegates Michael Bloomberg's money storm will buy him thru Super Tuesday. If he weakens Biden sufficiently, Joe will be toast.

anything...Warren still has to prove electability and should her fund raising falter, she is in trouble as that is one measure of electability...also her poll numbers have declined...another measure of electability. As for Buttigieg, I think her wine cave attacks have backfired and hurt her as it seemed unfair given some of her fundraising activities in the past...This may have even caused the decrease in donations...of course her debate wasn't that good either, but I don't really believe debates matter much.

Um, no.

They ALL have a lot to prove.

Right now the top tier is Biden, Sanders and Warren and has been for months now. None of them have locked up the 2020 nomination.

That's not going to change anytime soon.

Come Super Tuesday, we shall see what we shall see. Before then, it's all just speculation.

Pardon the humorous post title, I could not resist.
