SC State Senator Darrell Jackson announces support for Joe Biden

CHARLESTON, S.C. (WCIV) — South Carolina State Senator Jackson announced his support for former Vice President and current 2020 Democratic Presidential hopeful Joe Biden.

"Joe Biden is the best Democratic candidate to defeat Donald Trump — and that’s exactly what we need,” said State Senator Jackson. “I have seen his strength on display in the Palmetto State and I know we need to unite behind him.”

State Senator Jackson, who serves for SC's 21st district and as Senior Pastor of Bible Way Church of Atlas Road, previously backed Senator Kamala Harris. Harris dropped out of the race on December 3rd.
