Congratulations to our presumptive Democratic nominee, Joe Biden!
Hispanic lawmakers eye leap to Biden

The Congressional Hispanic Caucus has largely stayed out of the presidential primary so far partly out of respect for Julián Castro, the only Latino in the race and the brother of CHC Chairman Joaquin Castro.
But with Julián languishing at the bottom of polls with around 1 percent support, at least a handful of the groups 38 members are on the verge of announcing their support for Joe Biden, according to sources familiar with the effort.

Their impact could provide an adrenaline boost in a Democratic contest where most campaigns are struggling to win over Hispanic voters a bloc that will play a key role in early-state Nevada and on Super Tuesday.
Its kind of a work in progress, but Im pretty confident there will be substantial Congressional Hispanic Caucus support for the vice president over the course of the next month, said Rep. Filemon Vela (D-Texas), who, along with Reps. Vicente Gonzalez (D-Texas) and Lou Correa (D-Calif.), is leading the effort to rally the CHC behind Biden.

Link to tweet
One of the first Latino members of the Georgia Legislature threw his support behind Vice President Joe Biden on Friday as the White House hopeful sharpens his focus on a newly-released immigration policy.
State Rep. Pedro Marin said he was drawn to Biden because of his consistent and clear track record.
Hes made America and the world safer, stronger and more free, said Marin, a Duluth Democrat. Joe has been a constant champion for working people and is a fighter for equal opportunity, equal rights, and equal justice.
He and Republican state Rep. David Casas made history in Georgia in 2003 by becoming the first Latinos elected to the state House. While Casas has since retired, Marin remains one of the more influential Democrats in the chamber.
Marin joins more than two dozen state legislators, many of them African-American officials, who have backed Bidens campaign.
