It discusses the trajectory of his tenure as mayor, and it does include areas where he's had problems and how he faced them, as well as areas where he helped the city grow and thrive.

It's a great editorial!

If his home town newspaper weren't endorsing him, he would definitely need to re-think running for President.

there had been attempts to point to "problems" that Buttigieg had with factions within his own territory. And this would be the riposte that says, "probably not so much." Everybody that holds a public office is going to have dissent and detractors .. it's important to set the record straight when a majority of constituents feel that a job has been, as least in the main part, well done.

So, yes .. it is the home town newspaper. And, yes .. for the reasons given .. it's certainly worthy of notice.
