Thank you, Karine Jean-Pierre, for calling out Donny Deutsch's sexism.

He had just “explained” on MSNBC Sen. Warren’s drop in one poll by saying she is “unelectable” and “unlikable.” The others were silent but Karine pointed out, correctly, that this (especially “unlikable”) is said about female candidates and that we need to be careful about how we talk about them.

He of course tried to dismiss her input and she persisted until finally the others on the panel brought up the huge crowds she had drawn, etc. Finally Donny said “well, I don’t like her or Bernie Sanders.”

Ok, Donny, so projecting how you feel onto the electorate passes for evidence, eh?

i sorta appreciate his pov, for the most part, tho i think he is a pompous ass and think the never trumpers should sit in the corner and suck their thumbs while the grown ups are talking.

he has a lot of experience poking people in the same dark places as the rest of these monsters. he might be right about how that works, but that would be the crux of this mess, how to win w/o getting into the swamp.

let him talk, then smack him down.

He strikes me as an example of the problem good MSNBC hosts have when their corporate leaders push certain guests.

Ari could get some benefit out of him, I think it's more a tribute to Ari than Donny. But I never respected Deutsch's opinions or insights. I'm glad his latest stand alone show tanked, but I'm not a MSNBC subscriber, and just ignored his show's clips being broadcast on Apple Youtube.

Some Queens chowderhead who's daddy made the business, who wants to sell his business and political insights.

We had Mark Cuban around here backing the Dems in '16, he got points for that, but I sure don't want him anywhere near political power or strategic discussions. He's the same as Deutsch to me, though you can't really call him a Pittsburgh chowderhead. More of a Dallas hybrid.

A great example of why it's important to have diverse voices on these shows. The other guests were clearly uncomfortable and Willie Geist even tried to change the subject, but no one challenged him until Karine stepped up and confronted him - after which, the others also challenged him.

She was great.
