When our candidates are asked if they favor abolishing the Electoral College

Wouldn't it be better if they segued into a conversation about the National Popular Vote instead considering it takes a Constitutional Amendment to end the EC and that will never happen?

She used the exact term. It would be challenged in the courts. It’s what many of us want. Strong national and uniform standards at a minimum.

and as of this morning I decided to show her the support she earned with her answers. Her answers showed respect for every issue the questioners presented to her.....and she answered them with details and without hesitation.

The Segway company took its name from the word segue. Spelled it so it would have Way.

I would say that a reason for a constitutional amendment would be that a Republican governor could overturn a state law giving their electoral college votes to the winner of the popular vote. Perhaps you could get it included along with making voting day a national holiday as well as a positive right to vote enshrined in the Constitution.
