“His day after debate press conference have been outstanding,” Jim Messina, Mr. Obama’s 2012 campaign manager, wrote in an email. “He shines in that format, as he did in 2012. It also shows he still had a fastball. The mass format debates just aren’t his strong suit. And that’s probably O.K. The field is beginning to narrow. He still has time.”

Some advisers and allies have said privately that they have little control over Mr. Biden’s speaking style, but they also insist his debate performances have improved, and note that a string of controversies and wobbly public appearances have hardly crushed his campaign.

“Not one expert has been right about Joe Biden,” said former Senator Barbara Boxer, a California Democrat and friend of Mr. Biden’s. “It goes on and on. ‘He can’t make it, it’s just the name ID.’ Then he’s going to fall out because he’s too affectionate. Now he’s going to fall down because he’s too gaffe prone? Now it’s the money? I just don’t buy it.”

Obviously, the electorate doesn't buy it either. Biden's primary numbers have been on the rise maintaining his frontrunner status since the last debate. And the national poll numbers show him consistently beating Trump in the 2020 contest.

The doom and gloom articles continue, however. I'm with Senator Boxer: "Not one expert has been right about Joe Biden." And in the final analysis, "I just don't buy it."

Keep banging those drums, Joe!

....and has overcome that handicap to become an excellent (not perfect) public speaker. He's also counseled countless people who have that same affliction.

He's not the slickest, smoothest speaker, but I'm more concerned about the ideas before his speaking, not the delivery.

DT won 78K more in the 3 key states because of the Russians, Stein, and voter suppression.

I think Amy k would do well. Warren would get run over with her refusal to give straight answers to questions. She is also very weak when it comes to FP

in San Diego loved it and is now a Biden Supporter.

I hadn't told her before that I supported him.. It was interesting to hear her perspective from someone who gets their news from the tv only.
