(42,862 posts)New Hampshire... the New England state right next door to Vermont... that one? Well, that's his demographic... I can understand why he'd be well-liked there. After all, it's very easy to please a homogeneous group of individuals who largely think alike and who largely have the same problems and concerns and philosophy and culture. The real challenge for a candidate is to do the same thing nationwide, with a variety of different states and regions. And, we see that BS clearly has problems in more diverse areas. therefore, I think it's a mistake to hold-up this poll a being some sort of "trendsetting" indicator. It's rather unsurprising, actually.

(67,782 posts)So the majority of voters have not even decided on who they prefer next February, and only 23% have made a definite decision.
Another interesting part of the poll is the voters' opinion of which candidates have the best chance to win the General Election:
Biden 36%
Warren 18%
Sanders 14%
Buttigieg 3%
So in their eyes of the voters Biden has twice the chance of winning the General Election than Warren, who is in second place.
