In an interview, why did Tulsi twice pass up the chance to clearly disavow help from Russia?

Why wouldn't she strongly disavow such help?

@MauraBarrettNBC
I asked @TulsiGabbard - twice - if she disavows Russian state media support of her campaign.

Gabbard: "This is not about Russia. This is about a smear campaign that has been waged against me.." & "Again, I don't control them. I don't control what anyone else says or does."

If you believe she's dishonest, hiding her true agenda, etc., then you probably wouldn't believe her disavowing.

If you believe she is honest and straight-forward, then you probably think her answer was fine.

This kind of reminds me of the flap over whether Obama would reject vs. renounce vs. repuidate Rev. Wright and Louis Farakhan. Or whatever it was.

And none of it was relevant. It was just a political football.

RT will run positive stories on TG. Or they won't. And what TG says about it won't change it either way.

Help me out here...

What OTHER politician wasn't able to bring themselves to say anything bad about Russian / Putin while fielding independent reports of Russian assets providing support for their campaign?
