(118,743 posts)bad. She said she was against impeachment. That it was an undoing of the election Trump won. I zone in and out and went for a walk for a bit in the middle so i did not catch it all. Don't have a huge auditory memory. I remember things said when i am cued. Or something reminds me. The good news is because i use mostly episodic memory and long term memory it is remembered as is. I don't edit my political or personal feelings into events. Sometimes it is good to be dyslexic.
(This is Tulsi said about impeachment tonight during the debate:
"SNIP....
Gabbard, while she does support an impeachment inquiry, broke with the back to push back against their partisan narratives. "If impeachment is driven by these hyperpartisan interests ... it will only further divide the country," she said.
....SNIP"
that paraphrasing in italics above was from a tweet i read tonight while the debate was on, my bad.)

Thank You!

(118,743 posts)Sorry to throw the Washington Examiner up but here is what she said. I must have been reading tweets from the reaction that quoted her previous positions tonight.

SNIP....
Tulsi Gabbard is never afraid to break from the pack. And her early answers at the CNN Democratic presidential debate on Tuesday night was no exception she took a divergent approach, at least rhetorically, when discussing impeachment.
Debate moderators, unsurprisingly, opened by asking every candidate about his or her stance on impeachment. Most took the opportunity to grandstand and morally preen, citing everything from the failed "Russiagate" collusion hoax to more serious and troubling concerns regarding the presidents dealings with Ukraine. From Kamala Harris saying she knows a confession when she sees one (um, she tried to make an innocent man register as a sex offender) to Elizabeth Warren pretending that some things are just more important than politics, it was ultimately clear.
Gabbard, while she does support an impeachment inquiry, broke with the back to push back against their partisan narratives. "If impeachment is driven by these hyperpartisan interests ... it will only further divide the country," she said.
....SNIP"

(11,628 posts)(Paraphrasing here) They were asked who they were friends with that people would find surprising. Honestly it wasn't that surprising to me.
I missed that part of the debate. It was alluded to on one of the debate threads I started.

I think you're already smarter than she is and obviously more invested in which side you want to play for.
Glad to have you in the mix.

(790 posts)under the bus with her. Impeachment apologists seem like part of some other party, different than the Democratic Party.
At the same time I have that thought, an alarm bell goes off at the back of my mind about purity tests and divisiveness, but I don't think I can even pretend to support anyone who doesn't buy impeachment at this stage. What a bummer.
