A lot would have to happen for me to not like O'Rourke or Buttigieg. I simply like them both a lot.

Under Beto's plan, if you do not voluntarily turn them in, then you are going to be charged under a criminal code, with a crime when you are caught by the police with them in your possession, and they will be CONFISCATED under the threat of deadly force (ie the police/LEO's of jurisdiction.)

(10,839 posts)Mandatory buyback programs would absolutely be confiscation. Yes, the gun owner is payed for the weapon but there's no option--take it or leave it but the weapon is removed. In a friendly way or not so friendly way.
