Sanders' treating physicians confirm he had a heart attack Tuesday

Eliza Collins

@elizacollins1
Bernie Sanders’ treating physicians confirm he had a heart attack Tuesday. He has left the hospital and is expected to make good progress, they said.
If I were to vote in a presidential
primary today, I would vote for:
Joe Biden

And everyone told me I was making-shit-up. From the very beginning, I knew this wasn't some simple "outpatient procedure".

This is some serious and deadly business. Good to know that his doctors are taking it seriously... but it's a pity that his campaign was so cagey and stingy with the information that people deserved to know.

Anyone who hopes to be our party's nominee has given up the privacy expectations that ordinary citizens expect... whether medical or financial. It just comes with the territory... get used to it.

Also, since they're ONLY JUST-NOW admitting to us that he had a HEART ATTACK... I'm convinced that this could possibly and very likely be the "watered down" version of what really happened.

I felt the same.

Shower.
Sick.
Chest pains.
Two stents.

That tells the story.

Of course I was speculating, or as they say “making-shit-up.” But isn’t that one of the best parts of a political discussion board? If a campaign is tight lipped about a major event then they are inviting speculation. DU should be the perfect place to hold that conversation.

I’m assuming Sanders requested this be released. I would hope so. While I thought he had a heart attack I was hoping he hadn’t. I am still hoping I’m wrong.

I support his ideas but think he should step aside and enjoy that beautiful lake house. Same with Biden -- step aside and enjoy Rehoboth and the grandkids.

big disqualifier. I don't want to have to worry that our POTUS does not have the great physical health and stamina to perform his duties of office, which at times requires much traveling.

And while we haven't yet seen Elizabeth and Joe's health reports, which will of course be released by them in due time, as is evident so far from their grueling campaigning, both have the energy of the energizer bunnies.

It may not be a deal breaker as far as his campaign goes. That’s his call. But we’re well past the “nothingburger” spin.
